original article

According to this article the upcoming films "Hotel Transylvania" and "Frankenweenie" have a greater purpose then just making a profit, "kids haven't really seen those Universal monster movies, basically our feeling was we get to introduce these characters to a whole new generation," said producer Michelle Murdocca. Even though most of the generation that grew up with these scary characters remember their terrifying childhoods, the newer generation isn't going to feel the same way about these characters because of how they are presented, so i personally don't think that this is the best way to intro due them because they are not scary but seem like friendly and fun creates.

This article caught my eye because i am in-between both of these generations i have seen both versions of these movies and i though it would be interesting to compare the two interpretations of these charters.  As a student this impacts me because i learn different ways of showing the same thing i see different points of view and how it impacts the new generation. As a future film maker i see that i can give my own interpretation of these characters, and as a consumer this can be a fun experience to see the old film and the new ones and see whats different. so i this i would like to ask are you interested in seeing the new versions of the film?
