Pros and Cons
I recently have been writing and re-writing story after story, and i have just come to realize that writing is both a powerful tool in the art of film making but also the foundation of a film. I have found that the most difficult of writing a story is keeping up with it. I recently have been working on noir based story that is getting harder and harder to write because every action must have a personal motive nothing can be left to chance, then on top of that there has to be a twist ending. many of my ideas come at night so this make it difficult to find time to write it down, especially if it is in the middle of the night when computer is off and i am just too lazy to get out of bed and write it down. most of the time i am very tempted to recycle stories or to just base it off a completely improbable situation, but thats why only handfuls of people are remembered in their eras as great writers, because only a hand-full of people per era can write something revolutionary. recently i have been drawing many blanks out of my head and it is frustrating but the only thing i know for sure is that i am learning from this and i can only get better.

I also hate this feeling! Usually, when I do not need to write a story for any class, I can come up with multiple stories that I genuinely like. However, when I do need a story, nothing comes to mind and such a situation is frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI also like rewriting although it is a bit tedious. Since I have never actually rewritten any of my stories, this experience was very different but it allowed for me to grow as a writer so I appreciate it :)
