And The Award for Best Supporting Actor Goes to..

Many of the nominees for this years "Best Supporting Actor" Award have gone to many Actors of the films that I have not had the pleasure of whatching…yet. As I looked Through the list of films and actors, I found that the only film on that list that I have seen is "Silver Linings Playbook" where Robert De Niro was nominated for best supporting actor.
This film in gereral is a twisted ball of emotion, but demonstrated realistic problems and solutions, whitch made it one of the best films of 2012. Robert De Niro's roll in the film was one of a old, hard headed, american father, who's life revolves around sports, but mostly football. Because of his strong belife in superstition it has become a family trend torevlove their plans around football.
I feel that Robert De Niro was nominated for his simplicity and his characters nobility, he always kept a stright face and spoke as an experienced man instead of just reciding his lines, but in the film he is persuaded in a way the forces his character to completely change his opinion of another character, that was probably a key moment because this show the characters ability to understand and welcome new ideas, aslong as evidenceis provided. this character is a needed component in the evolution of the main character, therefore he was nominated for the award. As a viewer I agree with the nomination but I do not have faith he will win because even though he was a needed character in the way this story was told but the film could have achived the same goals with out him, i belive the award winner will be an actor that had a more radical role that drives the story in a stronger way.

  1. Robert De Niro did really well in this film; I'm not surprised Silver Lining Playbook got a nomination in each acting category. Well, we'll see if he gets this Oscar, he hasn't gotten nominated for a few decades.
